Senior Client Computing Analyst

Responsibilities:
Provide expertise for the administration of Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems/software applications/solutions as well as those provided by third-party vendors (to include automated deployment strategies). Preside over the installation, configuration and support of client systems and software applications utilized by both the back-office departments and branch banking offices (to include automated deployment strategies). Manage systems utilized by the Client Computing Department (i.e. LANDesk) which include workstation patch management and security. Perform additional accountabilities as required.

Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years experience in the following areas preferred:

  • Fundamental understanding of Information Technology policies, procedures and best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of current Microsoft PC operating systems, deployment tools and utilities
  • In-depth knowledge application deployment systems, tools and utilities
  • Knowledge of centralized PC management utilizing Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Understanding of Microsoft Exchange (server) and Microsoft Outlook (PC)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software suites and applications (including Project and Visio)
  • Fluency in scripting with Visual Basic and PowerShell
  • Experience supporting and/or administering banking industry-specific applications
  • (e.g. Metavante's Banker/Teller Insight and/or ECM, Gallagher's NetOxygen, etc.)
  • Knowledge of specific deployment strategies with regard to Microsoft Office suites and
  • applications, Project, and Visio
  • Experience in developing automated software application and deployment strategies
  • Proficiency and knowledge of software application packaging tools
  • Comprehension of PC based security (to include firewall protection, anti-virus/anti-spyware protection, workstation patching, and software and security updates)
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WINS, Microsoft Active Directory, as well as network and server systems and performance monitoring tools.

- Ability to deal effectively with end-users, peers and management with a strong emphasis on customer focus;
- Provide direction and support to project teams, peers and departments within IS;
- Provide training and technical assistance within the department (Client Computing Analyst Consultant, Technical Support);
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task;
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
- Troubleshoot complex problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
